Tom, can you post a photo of your 5V jumper on the 610?

Hey Guys,

Struggling to get my C4PMF running and the troubles are starting to get highly focused on the
MPI floppy drives. One will not read at all and the second is "flakey" at best.

Would like to hook up some known good drives but need the external data separator.

Is there a source for Mr. Klyball's D-13 board? Can't seem to find where a guy would get one...

Thanks.

Two questions:

1. Is it possible to connect 2 5.25-drives in series using the single 34-pin connector and the right cable -- 34-pin female IDC connector plugged into to D-13, connected to two 5.25 drives with ribbon cable that has two 34-edge connectors? The ribbon cable I have has the classic twist between edge connector 1 and edge connector 2.

2. are there specific jumper settings or track zero modifications necessary with OS56D to connect a DD/SS drive to the D13?

To calibrate TR1, do I need to be sending data to my drive as I take readings with the oscope?

No data needs to be sent while calibrating TR1.
I read here that a jumper was needed when calibrating TR1 on the C4, and I found this to be true.

found it:

I noticed the link to the parts list for the D13 no longer works. Would any one care to post it here as an upload?

Thanks!

Does anyone have a part number for the molex connectors I should use for the 24-pin connector on the D-13 -- the pins that interface with the 610 or 505? I built a working D-13 3 years ago but can’t find the part number for the life of me. Thanks

Instead of a 24-pin connector, there are two 12-pin connectors. I think you are looking for this part: 09-52-3123.

Molex still makes it. This has the nylon housing, and Molex also makes a similar part in polyester. Nylon will give you a more era-appropriate look. The nylon parts are translucent and soft. The polyester parts are harder and white ("natural").

There's a little list of replacement OSI parts on the archive. If you have any additions to the list, let me know.

Good luck,

Dave
