OSI Tech Newsletters

Post by glitch »

Been working my way through 20-some OSI tech newsletters, I have the index and 1 - 14 scanned:

ftp://filedump.glitchwrks.com/manuals/O ... wsletters/

These newsletters were sent to dealers and include software and hardware fixes for OSI products, notes on the sales and support staff, etc. Dave was contacted by the gentleman that had these (and more!) who had worked with an OSI dealer in the 70's. Since I was much physically closer than Dave, I went and picked them up. The plan is to eventually scan everything that's not currently online.

Some of the tech notes are of poor scan quality. This is because the originals were also of poor quality. The first one or two especially look like they were photocopied on a machine with problems.

Awesome. I will get these up on the site when I have a free moment. Thanks for all your effort on this!

No problem! Glad that this could all come together to preserve this stuff! Now I'm itching to dig through the 8" disks that came with the manuals to see if that "serial memory test" program mentioned in the tech newsletters is in there :)

I finished scanning and uploading the rest of the newsletters I have, which apparently does not include #26, but does include #27. I'll go through some of the other binders and see if #26 exists, or if there are more.

Hi.

I have a couple binders of the newsletters also. Mine go up to issue #30

#26 Feb 29, 1980 24 pages
#27 Apr 18, 1980 32 pages
#28 Sep 29, 1980 40 pages
#29 Mar 26, 1981 28 pages
#30 Jun 28, 1981 26 pages

I have them all scanned. Will work on posting the ones you did not have and compare the quality/number of pages of the rest.

Looks like some great information in these and definitely needs to be archived.

Will update the post with a link to newsletters.

Enjoy
