Just finished the frame and have started printing the “skin” pieces.

Thanks. I'm actually kind of new to woodworking, but fortunately there are people at my local makerspace (https://www.kwartzlab.ca/) who do have skills and are very helpful.

I finished "skinning" the Challenger 4P frame. Kudos to Steve Gray for his accurate measurements and Dave for making a very faithful reproduction keyboard.

Re: Want to build case(s) for C1P's
My Challenger 4P project is nearing completion. I’m happy with the 3D printed skin but recently found out about a service, LaserBoost, that elegantly combines sheet metal laser cutting with bending. As a result l have ordered a second skin made with 18 gauge steel. Detail can be found in this Hackaday log:

Just wanted to share how my fabricated steel Challenger 4P skin turned out.
Pretty damn good IMHO. LaserBoost did an incredible job.About: A retired software developer, living in Waterloo, Ontario, Canada, who appreciates having the time to make whatever the heck he damn well feels like!

I ended up getting my sheet metal skin powder coated at a local shop. Here is what it looks like now.
