Hi there,
I just signed up here today on the recommendation of Commodore Z to also post my work here.
I collect a lot of vintage parts, and I love building period accurate replicas wherever possible. When I found out there was a replica of the 600D, I was delighted and knew I had to build one.
A few days later I had my PCBs in the mail:
As it was still a nice evening, I set up with the portable soldering setup and some parts in the garden and started the build:
I populated all the IC footprints with genuine 1970s Augat sockets, which I love.
Back in the house and in the workshop I also populated the switches, I know this isn't entirely the order of the construction manual, but I was on a roll:
The switches are Cherry MX Black, sometime from the mid 80s, which came from an insanely dirty CNC keyboard. I desoldered them from that keyboard, disassembled each of them and gave them a good ultra sonic clean, then treated them with some keyboard lube and WD40 for the springs. They feel like new now.
While the build is far from done, I still wanted to see how the keycaps would look. These came from a very broken Siemens PG675 portable, which was intended to program the Siemens S5 PLC. I have been in contact with Dave, and I might still get a set of replica keycaps from him, at which point the Siemens would get its keycaps back... maybe.
While the majority of the keycaps fit perfectly and have almost perfect labels, the space bar is another story. My current plan is to either drill (and then patch up) the PCB for the correct stabilizer position or just cut and then epoxy the stabilizers in place:
I will be updating and posting here as I continue the build.

Awesome!
If you plan on building the 610 expansion board with floppy disc, I have four, fully poulated Data Separator pcb's available.
(edit: THREE, I sold one!)

Re: My OSI 600D Replica Build
The build is almost wrapping up, just gotta finish some of the passives.
I really wanted a period accurate "big crystal" for the oscillator, but I could not find one anywhere, so I made one myself. Pretty happy with the results. I documented that process in a very silly video here: https://youtu.be/BLoZoBzXXkk
