I bought the C4P that was listed on eBay. The fellow used to have a vintage computer collection but had to sell it off because of lack of space for it. It arrived on Saturday and I set it up on Sunday. It generated a screen of random graphics but did not respond to the Break key. I popped it open and started probing around with my scope. It was getting the RES signal and the clock signals were present but all the data lines and address lines seemed dead. Also, I noticed a broken jumper on the CE for the SYN600 chip. I repaired the jumper and found an old Apple II plus motherboard in my parts bin and stole the 6502 from it. I installed it into the C4P and she fired up like a champ! This model only has two boards, the 502 with cassette circuitry, BASIC-IN-ROM, and 8K or RAM and the 540 video board.
This is getting easier, and its way too much fun!

Jeff, that's great! The nice thing about these machines is how straightforward they are to work on.
