Great!
Finishing up the design of my C1P MF case, I remembered that my keyboard needs "double" sized shift keys....
(the keyboard that I harvested the key-caps from had "single" sized shift keys...)
I designed the key-cap in Solidworks, the "SHIFT" letters are about 1/32" deep...
Then, out with the 3D printer...
Some light sanding with 800grit water paper...
followed by a light coat of Rustoleum "rattle can" gloss black paint.
But how to get the "SHIFT" characters white???
TALCUM POWDER! (then a coat of clear)

Looks like I'm running out of excuses to build the 610...

The red elipses in the picture below are the jumper settings that work for me...
Do this to set the one-shot timer to 6uS. (
with jumpers in place)
In the above photo, the jumper on the bottom right was incorrect, it should be 11 to 12 (as shown below)

I'm wondering... has anyone made bootable disk with C1 Space invaders ?
... would be an early Chrstimas present!

Here ya go. Merry Christmas!
(Change the file extension to .img or .65D)
Note 1: Since the program is now on disk, I have added the option to save the high-score table to the disk. The changes consist of changing the existing line 530 to be line 536, and adding new lines 530, 532, and 534.
Note 2: This disk is really just the ep142a disk with Program 1 replaced with the OSI Invaders game, and the option to run Program 1 on boot enabled.
At first, I thought there was a problem with the game, since Level 1 runs so fast that it is completely unplayable. Then I saw that higher-numbered levels (like 3 to 5) do work decently. Edit: So I think it's OK, but let me know if the game seems to be running properly to you.

Simply marvelous, it works!
(Indeed, levels up to 3 are un-playable)
The cassette version takes 12 minutes to load
Thank-you Danny: Verry Merry Christmas to you and yours!
H.
Edit: I made a physical 5¼" disk, by using the copy function (menu item 8) on Tutorial Disk 5, from the Gotek and it boots and runs perfectly.
Saved my hi score to disk too!

I have added in line 25 the following statement: 25 LE=16-LE
Now for the intuitive users, Level 1 is the beginner and 15 the gamer nerd mode. Using 10 gives a good overall experience.
Enjoy and Merry Christmas !
